Producer information: Engineer-turned-winemaker Alie Shaper spent her first years post-graduation working in Silicon Valley. After many weekend trips to the California wineries surrounding the area, she discovered her passion for the wine industry. She returned to New York to work in hospitality, founding the tasting room and winery Brooklyn Oenology. She later relocated to Long Island to found Chronicle Wines.
Vinification method: "Electra Orangino" is another interpretation of the fermenting juice that also makes up 2022 As If "Gratitude". It is a "new wine" bottled directly after fermentation, with no further fining, filtering, stabilizing, or maturation. It's another interpretation of the fermenting juice that also makes up the 2022 As If "Gratitude", however, this batch was allowed to finish fermenting, and bottled as a still wine. Like the "Gratitude", it has fermented lees in the bottle. The drinker can leave the lees behind or gently shake the bottle and reintegrate for a fuller-bodied wine.
