Grapes: Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris

Producer information: Alice Bouvot an ex cellist turned winemaker knew that when it came to start her own domaine, the Jura would be the place. In 2004 she started from scratch, buying a small cellar in the village of Arbois where she makes electrifying wines. The ambitious winemaker has slowly but surely acquired small plots, gradually increasing her production year after year but never sacrificing quality.
Vinification method:
Hand harvested from vines planted in white and grey marl. A 50/50 blend, the grapes are fermented as whole bunches for 10 days before being pressed off to go into barrels for nearly a year.
Tasting notes: full bodied, lychee, passionfruit, creole spice, vibrant and yes electric
